NOW I'VE GOTTA PEEL THE BARK
I’ve been working on these logs all day.I split the long one for the headboard with my chainsaw.(about wore my arms out)!The picture only shows the parts for the headboard.The footboard looks similar,but not as tall.Ipeel all the bark by hand,and then sand&sand&sand.I should be ready to put it together by the end of the weekWish me luck!

Do any of you hunters out there use a Hind Sight peep eliminator on your bows?It has changed my bow hunting experience forever!This device allows you to see your target virtualy unobstructed,especially in low light situations.
I’ve been seeing some really nice bucks in the field behind our home.A big 8 pointer seems to be the boss hog.I’m hoping to slip into the woods and have a close encounter with him on oct. 3rd,opening day of archery season here in carroll county va.

I got the link to my etsy site up and running.it took a bit of experimenting,but it’s done.
Well,I’m trying to get started building these log bed frames,but I’m also in the middle of renovating our home.There is only one of me and sometimes it’s a bit frustrating.I enjoy the work,so I guess I just have to focus on one thing at a time.

I’m having fun coming up with all of the ideas for my art,our renovations,and the designs for the log furniture.I’ve got a pile of cedar logs in the back yard that I’ve got to peel the bark off of,so I’d better get off of here and get back to work!

We’re trying to get our business rolling.I’ve been doing a lot of artwork,woodburnings of animals,and marketing them is proving to be a task .I’ve also just received two orders for rustic log bed frames.They are going to be made from cedar logs that I acquired from a friend that was clearing some land.I’ve put my artwork on etsy.com for sale and I’m trying to figure out how to add a link here.
This is my first blog.Ihope to make it entertaining and interesting.I have a lot to learn about all of this,so your comments and advice are welcome!
